looking forward......

I know its been a long time since i have written a post. I had no idea how busy this summer had been until I logged in and saw a very abandoned blog site. I have to commit myself to writing often and frequently so that i can keep your interest!

I will continue to write here and share with you! I have a few ideas:
-dating: misadventures with a person online (what's new), a person that is incapable of communicating (at all), people that show up out of the blue.
-exercise/diet: how I have (mostly) maintained my weight loss.

I need to rededicate myself for a while here! I look forward to weekly blogging (if not more). I  will write this week; I promise!

Do or not do; there is no try.

Much love and peace!

Back in the saddle!

So much has happened in the past few years. I have not picked up a cigarette since August 2012. I have getting more involved at work and taking on new responsibilities and adventures in professional endeavors. I have even been surviving bankruptcy for the past 4 years. I have one year to go in financial distress and this light at the end of the tunnel is really what has gotten me revitalized. I have entered into my fifth year of bankruptcy and realized there is a world waiting for me in the form of improved health and wellbeing, travel, new adventures in real estate and focusing on me! I have realized that there is a end to the five years that I have gotten caught up in. Since my divorce, I have grown, but I have also stunted my growth in other ways. I have been afraid to write and tell the truth about my post-divorce years. I didn't want to offend anyone, slander or divulge specific issues out on the open internet. It's time I remove that fear. I want to write. I want to tell the truth about the world out there for me. If I write in fear, nothing of growth can come out of that, nothing real. I think that if I can tell the absolute truth and it helps one person (including me), that will be the whole reason I am writing. This is just the beginning, unpolished, uncut, uncensored. I don't want to stop. My goal in blogging is to write about life, health, friendships and other relationships (good, bad and the ugly), love, trust, and travel. I am excited about reviving this blog. I almost started a brand new one for a brand new life, but I am the same person, just with new perspective, so I will keep this blog going!

my new laptop: MacBook Air

Just a short posting to celebrate my new laptop and actually being able to type again. On my old laptop, I would never have been able to type a whole complete sentence!! I am so excited, I can barely contain myself!:) I think I will be able to blog again.... Just as an update, I am going to be blogging more about my exercise successes, my journey back into yoga (starting next weekend) and books, movies and what ever else interests me. If there are things that interest my followers, I would love to hear about those things as well. I am on limited funds, so talk about travel may be limited to day trips and family vacations. l I will be definitely in touch with all of you!!

More to come, but a note about the blogs I have been reading....

A quick note: I am constantly learning about new blogs, new writing styles, new personalities and I am constantly bored by the popular, well read blogs; I am always searching for new material. If you know of blogs that are funny, decently written (a minimally collegiate command of the English language, but comfortable with taking some poetic license), definitely let me know. I will check it out. I want to read a blog without the inner English teacher in me itching to leap out.

I am sick of hearing about going green blogs, mommyblogs, home schooling, etc. I don't have children so I am not really interested in shopping for diapers and how to get through airport security with half a dozen children. So let me know. I have already replaced pioneer woman (like the cooking, don't like the home schooling saga) with a nice and light blog by someone who loves the color pink (I couldn't be more serious about my blogging-see my blog list). As obnoxiously superficial as this sounds (because, yes, it is obnoxiously superficial), I can relate to the pink chick more than the farmer lady. I would be interested in puppy oriented blogging as well as travel and scuba diving blogs. I love children so don't misread me. However, I don't do their diapers typically or feed them out of Gerber jars with baby faces (that most likely have left third world non English speaking moms very confused), so I just can't relate to some of these blogs. I don't need to apologize. I AM NOT HATING ON YOUR CHILDREN. Promise. Dooce can be interesting to read ( I loved the clothes washer saga and her post partum depression book), but I am getting bored on dooce.com for some reason. Maybe because I found her more entertaining when she was just being real and I found her less entertaining when she made it so obvious she was entertaining and egging on her hateful non-fans. It seemed NOT so real. More contrived. I will continue to check it out, but we have options, don't we?!

I will constantly be updating my blog list, deleting some, adding others . Leave me a comment with some blog web sites & I will be happy to check them out!

Tomorrow, I will start writing on the complete Key Largo experience while at Blue Fin Rock Harbor Marina. I promised Jeff I would wait til we are in Naples (our next stop) before posting it. You will surely see why he wanted me to wait. I am calling the post "Walking on Broken Glass" (an Annie Lennox tribute of sorts).

See you soon!

It's getting really real, isn't it?

I am realizing that the big day is MUCHCLOSER than it appears in my head ....like images in the driver's side mirror. Wow! I can't even begin to imagine how much I am going to miss PPC though I didn't know a single member of the fellowship 100 days ago....strange. I am starting to really get how much I am going to miss my friends in Colorado. It's going to be weird that I can't just see them when ever I want, but I am really glad I had the opportunity to be more accessible to a lot of people in these last eight months. I can't even believe it has been that long. I got this new laptop in January, but only just started to really make headway with this blog in the writing arena...not working since January has been an amazing self-discovery of what I really wanted to focus on...travel & writing. Now I am going to be doing both and I am really excited....

Right now, I am recovering from a horrid Scrabble loss. I suffered from an embarrassing display of sportsmanship (or lack thereof). Jeff thinks my "sore loser" mentality relates to my morals...the nerve. He's just giving me a hard time-he does not lose that much more gracefully than I. It drains my energy nonetheless and I will reserve my thoughts on the enlightening game of scrabble for another post. It should suffice to say that anyone that puts down TINSLES deserves to be challenged and subsequently blocked from further BINGOS.....
